Editor
The editor is a power user of word processing applications and expects the same level of functionality from the CMS interface.
The editor does not appreciate technology if it slows down the production of the written word. Simplicity and usability are critical; the closer the editing environment is to the final result, the easier the more comfortable the editor will be.
Editors, content contributors, writers and users are extremely varied in their backgrounds and interests but have one requirement in common; they want to work in an environment where their focus is on the words they create, not the design or programming.
Editors are not technical, they are not patient and they do not appreciate unnecessary complexity, unless it gives them some level of flexibility.
